Back again....and published !

So it's safe to say it has been a long while since I've posted and as cliche as it sounds my writing life has been a rollercoaster.

I can say from February 2022 to present a lot has happened. Firstly, what I couldn't disclose in my last post was that I got an offer of publication on one of the stories I wrote right after having that wonderful conversation with Valerie.

After that things went quickly, I signed with an agent and went on to sell three more stories. One of those books released in 2025 The Pone Pact

Current Gone" published by Abrams books for young readers and has already garnered three positive reviews from Publisher's weekly , Kirkus Reviews and Booklist and releases in June 2026.

Reborn published by Reycraft books is to be released in August 2026

My last book to be released is ironically the first one I sold, and that will be published in 2027.

It's safe to say it has been a dream. Looking back on my previous posts , I am glad that I kept going when I was so close to giving up.  If I hadn't I wouldn't have had this wonderful experience.

That being said the picture book market has been tough in recent years and with editors being very selective it began taking a toll on me mentally . I decided to take a break from writing a couple of years ago and so am no longer with my agent but I will forever be grateful for her support and guidance along with all the illustrators , editors and writing colleagues I have met along the way.

And while I may not be actively sending queries I do from time to time send a few of my stories out in the world when publishers open submissions . Who knows maybe lighting will strike twice
